Suspect in Pittsburgh shooting dead after 6-hour standoff with police
WASHINGTON (TND) — A man who opened fire at deputies when they tried to serve him an eviction notice at a home in Pennsylvania on Wednesday is dead following a six-hour standoff, according to authorities. “The subject in this incident was pronounced deceased by @PghEMS at 5:08 p.m. EST,” Pittsburgh Public Safety noted on social media. The suspect's identity wasn't immediately known. His cause of death was also unclear. The ordeal prompted several home evacuations after the suspect exchanged gunfire with police.
'Rockzilla Tour' coming to Johnstown in 2023
Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Officials with the 1st Summit Arena announced Tuesday that the "Rockzilla Tour," featuring popular rock bands Papa Roach and Falling In Reverse will be coming to the Johnstown next year.
The concert, which also features Hollywood Undead and Escape the Fate, will be held on Feb. 10th.
Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, December 9th.

Johnstown Police Department creates new app, anonymous crime tip line
The Johnstown Police Department is using a smartphone app that will, in part, give people a way to submit tips directly to police.
The department is the first in the area to use an app like Tip 411.
One of its many features gives people a way to anonymously send in tips about crimes in Johnstown.
"Tip 411 gives the community the opportunity to provide information to the police regarding crimes that are occurring in the community anonymously.

The Titans defeated Claysburg-Kimmel by a score of 53-15.

Altoona couple charged with attempted homicide for setting house ablaze in Oct.
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Altoona police say they've arrested and charged two people in connection to an October arson investigation that later led to attempted homicide charges.
Police say 26-year-old Daniel Sipes Jr. and 30-year-old Maria Frye set fire to a home along 5th Ave. on Oct. 15.
They say the pair is in an intimate relationship and set the fire to kill one of the people inside.
According to police, the attempt was made to end an ongoing dispute regarding a past relationship, infidelity and drug use.
Death penalty sought in police officer's shooting death
NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. -- Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against a Pennsylvania man accused of killing a police officer and then leading law enforcement on a four-day manhunt with the help of his mother.
The Westmoreland County district attorney's office has filed a notice of intent to seek capital punishment if 29-year-old Rahmael Holt is convicted of first-degree murder.
Holt is charged with shooting 25-year-old New Kensington officer Brian Shaw as the officer chased him on foot after an attempted traffic stop Nov.
Johnstown Galleria to host another drive-up food distribution on Wednesday
