UPDATE:Cambria County, PA — The manner of death for the 18-year-old male involved in a drowning at the local Holiday Inn, located on the 200 block of Market Street, in downtown Johnstown, has been ruled as accidental, by Cambria county coroner Jeff Lees. Lees says there were no other factors found to be in play for the man's death. Ferguson Twp. Police form cold case team, ask for public's help

Ferguson Township police are asking for the public’s help in solving a nearly 3-year-old homicide. Police said for the first time in the department’s history, they’ve dedicated a cold case team to investigate three unsolved cases, including the homicide of Jean Tuggy. Tuggy was found in her home on Irion Street shot in the face with no sign of a struggle or break-in Jan. 20, 2016, according to police. They said they’re bringing fresh eyes to the cases, and that’s why they’re asking for help from anyone with information.

Parents, community members voice opposition to potential closure of Jackson Elementary

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A public comment meeting was held at Central Cambria High School Monday night as the district considers closing a long-time elementary school. Over 100 community members visited Central Cambria to voice their opinions on the potential elementary school consolidation. Philipsburg woman charged after child falls off of moving car, placed in coma

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — State police say a Philipsburg woman is facing charges after a child, that was in her care, fell off of a moving car, struck his head and later had to be placed into a medically induced coma. Troopers say the incident occurred in early October when 45-year-old Brandi Vaughn was driving around the Decatur Township area, with multiple children in her vehicle. Investigators say the children reportedly got out of the vehicle to chase after a deer that was in the roadway.
