UPS tight-lipped about local impact roughly 12,000 job cuts could have
About 12,000 jobs are expected to be eliminated at UPS over the next several months.
A spokesperson said the job cuts will be happening globally, but they will not be breaking down where the layoffs are coming from beyond that.
UPS said it is attempting to "right-size its global staffing." An over $9 billion decline in revenue last year is what is leading to the eliminated jobs according to officials with the company.

Harrisburg murder suspect arrested in Centre County
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — A Centre County man was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Harrisburg, according to police.
Harrisburg police said 20-year-old Dylan Reeves was arrested Tuesday afternoon in State College after being identified as a possible suspect in the case.
Police said a body was discovered Tuesday morning along the railroad tracks in the Greenbelt area near the Susquehanna River.
They said the victim, 21-year-old Daniel Kelly, died of multiple stab wounds.

Penn State frat charged over 19-year-old woman's alcohol use
STATE COLLEGE -- A fraternity at Penn State is facing charges over a woman's alcohol consumption at the frat house.
The Centre Daily Times reports the 19-year-old woman was taken to a hospital Nov. 11 for alcohol overdose treatment after police found her outside Alpha Sigma Phi. They say she was being held up by two friends as she went in and out of consciousness.
In a later interview, she told police she went to the frat party on her birthday and was served about five vodka drinks.
Suspect sought after Giant Eagle robbery
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Police are searching for a man they believe robbed a Giant Eagle in Johnstown.
Johnstown police responded to the supermarket along Broad Street and Fairfield Avenue just before 2 p.m. Monday. Police said a man walked up to a cashier, placed something against his back and demanded all the $20 bills in the register.
Officers said the suspect is a white man with a beard. He was wearing a navy jacket, black hat and jeans at the time of the robbery.
Winter weather causes accidents, delays on Pa. turnpike
SOMERSET – Winter weather affected many people who were using the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday. Those traveling on the turnpike likely ran into extensive delays and road closures.
The eastbound and westbound lanes were both closed Monday -- at different times -- for short periods due to tractor trailers jackknifing.
It was a busy day for first responders and road crews, as many drivers were not expecting snow after the warm weekend weather.
3D printed shoes? Penn State student looks to change footwear industry
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) -- Nick Unis is a senior at Penn State University. He also runs his own shoe company, UnisBrands.
But Unis’ does not make your average sneaker. His brand’s footwear is made using 3D printers.
"I wanted to solve kind of, both problems of fit, as well as design," said Unis, the founder and CEO of UnisBrands.
Unis has been working on the brand since he was in high school.
Beaver Stadium to begin selling alcohol during game vs Northwestern
University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State University announced Wednesday that Beaver Stadium will begin selling beer during the Nittany Lions' upcoming game against Northwestern University.
The approval of alcohol sales was debated for several weeks before the Penn State Board of Trustees finally gave the plan the "green light" at a meeting last Friday.
According to the press release, all patrons who are 21 years of age or older will be required to show ID and will be given a wristband to purchase alcohol.
Coroner identifies victim of fatal hit-and-run crash in Centre Co.
CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — UPDATE:
Centre County Deputy Coroner Judy Pleskonko has identified the victim of Friday night's fatal hit-and-run crash along Penns Valley Road (Route 45), according to a news release.
Pleskonko identified the victim as 23-year-old John David King of Penn Township, the release states.
Officials say King was operating a non-motorized scooter along the roadway when he was stuck by a vehicle.
Following an autopsy, Pleskonko says the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
