Authorities ID victim, suspect in early morning Oakhurst shooting
FRIDAY EVENING UPDATE |Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victim of Friday morning's shooting in Johnstown as 19-year-old Emerald Nugent Jr. of Hornerstown.
Lees says Nugent died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death has been ruled a homicide.
More information is expected to be released next week as the investigation unfolds.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE |Cambria County authorities have identified the suspect accused of shooting and killing a man, and wounding a woman, early Friday morning at Oakhurst Homes.
Denzel Washington on directing: 'I'm still learning'
Preparing to direct "A Journal for Jordan," a bittersweet love story opening on Christmas Day, Denzel Washington says he took a "master class."
That master class consisted of starring in a movie directed by Joel Coen, "The Tragedy of Macbeth," which opens the same day. "I steal from the best," Washington says with a smile.
Denzel Washington the actor has some 60 films under his belt, plus two Oscars, and at 66 is universally regarded as one of the all-time greats.
Johnstown church celebrates Christmas with renovated pipe organ
JOHNSTOWN -- The bellowing sound of a pipe organ hasn't been heard at St. Mark's Episcopal Church for 80 years.
"We've had electronic organs since 1936, but even the electronic organ that we had in ‘77 was also destroyed," the Rev. Nancy Threadgill said.
But at Sunday morning's Christmas service, sounds from the M.P Moller pipe organ filled the room.

Clearfield McDonald's manager accused of making unauthorized refunds to herself
Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Lawrence Township Police Department say the manager of a Clearfield County McDonald's is facing charges, accused of stealing hundreds of dollars from the fast-food restaurant located along South Second Street.
Police say charges are pending against 54-year-old Kelly Bennett after an investigation revealed that she had issued dozens of unauthorized refunds to herself.
Investigators say Bennett allegedly made 66 unauthorized transactions, between October and November of this year.

Park Service holds special tours of South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club clubhouse
SOUTH FORK, Pa. (WJAC) -- We're just days away from the 129th anniversary of the Johnstown Flood of 1889.

Steelers RB Jaylen Warren makes appearance at Tomahawks game
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A Pittsburgh Steeler made an appearance Wednesday night in Cambria County as running-back Jaylen Warren spent time with fans before the Johnstown Tomahawks game.
Warren signed autographs, took pictures and even took part in the ceremonial puck drop.
Officials with the Tomahawks say this is the first active Steelers’ player they've ever had at a game.
And Warren saw a winning performance from the Tomahawks as they beat the Maryland Black Bears 4 to 3 to clinch a spot in the Robertson Cup Playoffs.
Weaker repeat of Saturday's solar storm expected Sunday, NOAA says
WASHINGTON (AP) — A U.S. government agency said a weaker repeat of Saturday's powerful solar storm was likely on Sunday.
The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that"coronal mass ejections" — clouds of ejected solar plasma that can cause power grid irregularities and issues with high-frequency communications and global positioning systems — will slam into the Earth's magnetic field and outer atmosphere until at least Sunday night.
On Saturday, the powerful solar storm put on an amazing skyward light show across the globe overnight but caused only minor disruptions to the electric power grid, communications and satellite positioning systems.
2 dead, 9 injured in 35-vehicle pile-up on California highway
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Two people are dead and nine are injured after a 35-vehicle pile-up Saturday on a California highway.
According to officials on scene, vehicles and 18 big-rigs were involved in a crash on I-5 South.
Our GPS notified us that there was an accident and so we stopped, and two minutes after we stopped, the car behind us hit us, and that's when everything just happened fast," said Yesenia Cruz, a driver involved in the crash.
