The area slate was full for playoff baseball and softball Tuesday evening.

Mother nature, however, had other plans as two of the three district six championship baseball games were postponed due to heavy storms rolling through the area.

In the first game of the day, which was played with no interruptions, Mount Union walked off Philipsburg-Osceola 1-0 in 9 innings to lay claim to the D6-AAA championship.

In D6-AA, Bishop Guilfoyle and West Shamokin will have to wait a day, as they were postponed until Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from PNG field. The D6-A game will follow between Bishop McCort and Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at PNG field.

In the D5-AA championship game, Conemaugh Township defeated Meyersdale 10-2.

Over in District 9, Elk County Catholic and Otto-Eldred will play the championship game in Class-A tomorrow due to a power outage as a result of a storm that rolled base Showers Field in DuBois. Showers Field will be the site of the postponed match up.
