Starting Saturday, the Rockhill Trolley Museum will be hosting their annual Santa’s Trolley Rides, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Visitors will board one of three trolleys and kids will get to meet Santa.

A new event that they will be running is the ‘Lights, Cameras, Christmas Trolleys’ event, from 5 pm until 9 pm, during which photographers of all skill levels will be able to photograph the trolleys, and have their pictures taken with the Candyland area, while they’re lit up for the season.

The museum is run entirely by volunteers and doesn't receive any government funding for operating costs, and restoration projects.

Therefore, this serves as one of the major annual fundraisers for the museum.

Joel Salomon, Rockhill Trolley Museum president, said, “Seeing the kids have a good time; letting the kids ring the bell, blow the whistle on the trolley, that’s something really unique that you can’t really do in the shopping mall if you go to see Santa there; or, you know, drive around to see Christmas lights. So, it’s just a really unique way to go and see Christmas lights.”

The museum has several gift ideas for the trolley lover in your life, including an instructional package that will allow the recipient to actually drive one of the trolleys after training.
