After closing for three months, a State College staple of over 40 years is reopening with a brand new look.

Located on the corner of S Allen Street and W College Avenue, the Allen Street Grill is welcoming back guests to a newly renovated interior.

The new additions to the local landmark include tufted green booths, architectural lighting, freshly painted white walls, mid-century chairs and a new bar-lounge. The restaurant is also introducing a new head chef, State College native Karen Nicolas.

Restaurant staff said diners will be able to enjoy Chef Nicolas' newly crafted modern American menu. They are also switching up the drink and desert menus.

“Allen Street Grill has a long history of being a premiere restaurant with the best view in town. We’re excited to bring in some new energy and reimagine it,” Jeff Sorg, Pat Croce & Company CEO, said.

The restaurant is part of a property owned by the Pat Croce & Company.

The Allen Street Grill is open every day from 4 to 10 p.m.
